You are able to design a specific space that caters to you and how you view the world or any other topic. It is important for teachers to have a blog so that they can share the information and knowledge that they have with other teachers, students, and parents. Teachers can share experiences and new ideas that they might have for teaching. It is a way for everyone to benefit and making the teaching experience a better one.

Student driven blogs seem to deal more with the here and now. It is a constant updated ideas of what is the news for that day, each day the headlines are changing. It is also predominately a social network. It is a way to talk about parties, football games, dates, and other common things. A teacher created website is fundamentally more of a place to share ideas and feelings that will educate others. The focus is on what lessons can be taught with others and what information can be spread through this network. It seems to be also a more structured place with a specific intention.
